Strengthening cybersecurity awareness, governance and decision-making among the leadership and management team at Samoa National Provident Fund.
A big fa’afetai to the leadership and management team at Samoa National Provident Fund for taking the time to strengthen their understanding of cybersecurity risk and decision-making.
Through our Leadership and Management Cybersecurity Training, we focused on what matters most at the leadership level: protecting essential services, safeguarding members and maintaining public trust through better awareness, faster decision-making and stronger governance.
The session helped participants examine how leadership decisions influence an organisation’s overall security posture. It also highlighted the importance of clear accountability, effective communication and timely action when managing cyber risks.
A key highlight was the practical, hands-on activities, where managers worked through realistic cybersecurity scenarios. These exercises helped participants review their current processes, identify possible gaps, strengthen security controls and turn new insights into immediate actions.
The programme connected cybersecurity risks with practical leadership responsibilities and organisational priorities.
Understanding the everyday cyber risks that can affect services, staff, members, information and organisational reputation.
Improving how managers assess incidents, make timely decisions, communicate clearly and support an effective organisational response.
Reviewing processes, responsibilities and security controls to strengthen accountability, resilience and continuous improvement.
“Very practical and easy to understand. It really opened our eyes to the risks we face every day. It also got us thinking about our current processes and how we can strengthen our security controls.”
We look forward to continuing this journey with Samoa National Provident Fund as they strengthen their security posture and organisational resilience. At WebSafe Samoa, we believe that effective cybersecurity begins with informed and committed leadership.
