Supporting management confidence in cyber risk, fraud and scams awareness, and the critical actions leaders should take during the first hour of a cyber incident.
Fa’afetai to the Central Bank of Samoa management team for the strong engagement and practical discussions during WebSafe Samoa’s Cybersecurity for Managers session.
The session was designed to strengthen management confidence in identifying cyber risks, recognising fraud and scams, and responding effectively when an incident occurs.
Participants explored how leadership decisions can influence the impact of a cyber incident, particularly during the first hour when timely communication, escalation and coordination are critical.
The training also provided a practical opportunity to discuss current risks, organisational responsibilities and the steps managers can take to support a prepared and resilient workplace.
The programme connected practical cybersecurity risks with leadership responsibilities and incident readiness.
Helping managers recognise common threats, understand their organisational impact and make better-informed risk decisions.
Strengthening awareness of phishing, impersonation, payment fraud and social engineering techniques targeting staff and organisations.
Understanding what managers should do immediately after discovering an incident, including reporting, escalation, communication and evidence preservation.
“Cybersecurity isn’t just an IT issue. Leadership decisions matter.”
Fa’afetai to the Central Bank of Samoa management team for their strong participation and commitment to strengthening cyber awareness and incident readiness. WebSafe Samoa supports organisations with practical management training, cybersecurity awareness and incident readiness workshops.
